About

My name is Daniel Diep, a 9th-grade student at Canyon High School in Anaheim, California. Before moving to the U.S., I studied for eight years at Vstar School in Ho Chi Minh City. I started playing tennis at the age of six, trained toward competitive play, and earned several local awards in Vietnam as well as multiple club-level titles at various high schools in the U.S.

My current academic goal is to reach Level 3 and maintain steady progress across all subjects. In tennis, my goal for the upcoming year is to improve my physical performance and technical skills to reach a UTR 5.0+, continue competing, and work toward earning more club-level and interschool titles.

What Others Say

TAM HAO TRAN
Tennis Coach

Daniel is an energetic and passionate student who always brings positivity to every training session. He is well-mannered, focused, and quick to absorb instructions. While he can be playful at times, once he steps onto the court, he shows determination, discipline, and a strong willingness to improve.

Beyond tennis, Daniel is also warm, sincere, and easy to connect with, which makes our coach-student relationship truly meaningful. His passion for the sport, positive attitude, and growth mindset are qualities that will continue to help him achieve great milestones in his tennis journey.

DUC QUYNH TRAN
Former Vietnam No.1 Tennis Player

Daniel Diep is one of the most genuine and resilient young athletes I’ve had the chance to work with. He is incredibly kind, humble, and respectful, but when he steps onto the court, he competes with great focus, determination, and heart.

What impressed me the most during this tournament was not only Daniel’s performance, but also his character. He won every singles match, including the final against a player who had previously beaten him earlier this year.

Throughout the competition, even when facing pressure or unfair mind games from opponents, Daniel stayed calm, honest, and composed. He never relied on tricks or excuses — he won through pure ability, mental strength, and discipline.
I always believe that true athletes are defined not only by their results, but by the way they carry themselves on and off the court. Daniel showed maturity, sportsmanship, and resilience beyond his age, and that is something I am very proud of.
