However, beyond swimming, I also developed a strong passion for basketball. From the age of 6, I began training and was quickly selected for the talent team. Those afternoons on the basketball court, the sound of the ball, and the chase after it were all joyful and meaningful moments. I not only played basketball but also delved deeply into the sport, to the point where I could name nearly 100 famous NBA players. This shows that my love for basketball extends beyond playing to a passion for learning and exploration.

Additionally, I participated in soccer, playing as a defender. Each time I stepped onto the field, I strived to protect the goal and support my teammates. The intense matches and impressive saves were great experiences that helped me develop team spirit and leadership skills.

Another sport I have been exploring is tennis. This is not only a sport that my parents enjoy but also a place where I can learn self-responsibility and dedication to achieve success. Starting training at the age of 5, I have invested a lot of time and effort into improving my skills.

Although tennis is an individual sport that can sometimes feel lonely and demotivating, I have always had the support of Coach Hảo. She has provided opportunities for me to interact and practice at other clubs, where I can meet and compete with peers. This has helped me learn new skills, boost my competitive spirit, and foster a desire to succeed.

Minh Đăng’s elementary school journey was not only about playing and practicing sports but also about diligent study. From a young age, I have always been a hardworking student. Study sessions, homework, and exam preparations are all memorable parts of my experience. Achieving high grades brought me great joy and pride, though I was not always perfect—I was sometimes reminded by teachers, played and joked with classmates during lessons, and even tried to persuade my mother to avoid tennis training. These and many other interesting experiences will surely be part of my future journey.

My parents have also placed special emphasis on developing life skills and independence as essential preparations for studying abroad in the US. As the youngest of three brothers, I have always been loved and cared for, but I have learned to manage my time, handle personal tasks, and take care of myself. When my mother is away on business trips, I often take the initiative to cook simple meals.

I also deeply care for and value my extended family, especially my grandmother and relatives. Family affection is precious, and although being away from family for studies will inevitably bring feelings of sadness and longing, I always remind myself that all today’s efforts are to build a brighter future.
