As my elementary school years came to an end, I entered a completely new chapter of my life at VStar School. Middle school brought new experiences, greater expectations, and bigger challenges that pushed me to grow both academically and personally. Looking back, these years became an important stepping stone that helped shape my mindset, discipline, and future goals.
Academic Growth and Challenges
Starting middle school meant adapting to a more demanding learning environment with more advanced subjects and greater expectations for independence and self-study. At first, balancing academics with sports training was not easy, and there were moments when the pressure felt overwhelming. However, with determination, consistent effort, and the support of my parents, I gradually learned how to manage my responsibilities more effectively.
I have always set high standards for myself in both academics and athletics. Through engaging classroom lessons, group discussions with classmates, and independent study sessions in the library, I developed stronger critical thinking skills and expanded my knowledge in many areas. Over time, I realized that education is one of the most important foundations for achieving my long-term dreams — especially my future goal of studying in the United States.
Continuing My Passion for Sports
Throughout middle school, sports continued to play a major role in my life. I remained active in swimming, basketball, soccer, and especially tennis — the sport I dedicated the most time and effort to developing.
Tennis became more than just training and competition; it became a place where I learned discipline, responsibility, focus, and resilience. Under the guidance and continuous support of Coach Hảo, I had opportunities to improve my technical skills, compete with strong players, and challenge myself both physically and mentally.
At school, participating in sports clubs and competitions also gave me many valuable experiences. Friendly matches, tournaments, and team activities helped me build leadership skills, strengthen my competitive mindset, and understand the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
Developing Independence and Life Skills
Beyond academics and sports, middle school was also a time when I learned how to become more independent and responsible in daily life. My parents always emphasized the importance of life skills as preparation for studying abroad and becoming more self-reliant in the future.
As the youngest of three brothers, I was fortunate to grow up in a loving and supportive family. At the same time, I learned how to manage my own schedule, handle personal responsibilities, and take care of myself. When my mother traveled for work, I often helped by preparing simple meals and managing daily routines on my own. These small experiences taught me responsibility and helped me mature over time.
Family has always been one of the most important parts of my life. I deeply value the love and support of my parents, grandmother, and relatives. Although I know studying abroad in the future may mean spending time away from my family, I remind myself that every effort I make today is part of building a brighter future for both myself and the people I love.
Friendships and Memorable Experiences
My middle school years at VStar also brought many meaningful friendships and unforgettable memories. Studying together, participating in extracurricular activities, and supporting each other through challenges created experiences that I will always cherish.
Of course, like many students, I was not perfect. My energetic personality sometimes led to funny moments, classroom distractions, or even getting into trouble together with friends. However, these experiences taught me important lessons about responsibility, self-awareness, and personal growth.
Looking Ahead
Looking back, my middle school journey at VStar School helped me build a strong foundation academically, athletically, and personally. The knowledge I gained, the friendships I built, the challenges I faced, and the lessons I learned all contributed to helping me become more confident, disciplined, and mature.
I understand that the future will continue to bring challenges and opportunities, but I also believe that with preparation, determination, and continuous effort, I can continue growing and working toward my biggest goals and dreams.
Every experience, every lesson, and every challenge is helping shape the person I am becoming. And as I continue moving forward, I do so with confidence, gratitude, and belief in myself and the journey ahead.
